Dining Room Tour and A Simple Blue and White Tablescape

Happy Thursday, sweet friends! I am so happy that you are here for a tour of my new dining room.  Also, I decided to do a simple blue and white tablescape. I promise to share more tablescapes soon.

Before, I show you the new space, I want to show you how the space looked when we first toured the home.

Below is the space today. Upon several discussions, we decided to leave the room green. Mr. Bleu really likes green, and truth be told I do too.  He is always so sweet to allow me to decorate the house as I see fit, that I decided to leave the room green for him.

The only changes made to this room were a new chandelier, rug, and pinch pleat sheer cafe curtains. The previous curtains were very formal and covered the beautiful woodwork surrounding the window.

I found these red buffet lamps along with the rug at a local consignment shop. The rug looked to be brand new. It is amazing what you can find in these shops.

For the simple blue and white tablescape, I chose to display my Blue Italian Spode china.

I chose to add some pieces from my Great Grandmother’s Limoges china along with my Mikasa Golden Tiara crystal. The table linens were simple gold lace placemats with French linen napkins.

Next week, I am joining a wonderful fall blog hop. It is going to be a lot of fun. Each day will feature a different fall decorating topic….fall vignettes, wreaths, porches, recipes, mantels, and tablesapes. I know you will find lots of great decorating ideas for your fall house.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope that you have a happy Thursday and a wonderful weekend!!!
