A Simple Fall Vignette

Good morning, friends! This week you are in for such a special treat. The sweet and talented Lindsay from “My Creative Days” and Kendra from “Joy In Our Home” are hosting a really spectacular fall blog hop.   Each day will showcase a different topic relating to fall decor and entertaining.  Fall vignettes, mantels, wreaths, front porches, recipes, and tablescapes will be featured.  I know that you will find lots of wonderful ideas for your fall decorating. If you are visiting from any of the other participating blogs, I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit.

Today, I am sharing a simple fall vignette that anyone can create. One of my favorite places in the house to add seasonal touches is the foyer. It is the place that first greets your guests and sets the tone for the rest of your house.

Since I love color, I really like to use traditional fall tones….oranges, reds, greens, and yellows.

First, I chose to place my vignette items on a tray.  Trays are a great tool for displaying a group of items. If you have trouble grouping your items, think Heaven (something tall), sky (something a little shorter than Heaven), and Earth (something ground level).  On my tray, the arrangement is Heaven, the plate is sky, and the covered dish is Earth.  Books are also great to use in vignettes. They can help to elevate an item and add texture to your display.

Creating the fall floral for this vignette was super easy. Over the years, I have collected several fall picks. I chose an antique brass pedestal dish I had on hand and placed a faux pumpkin on a nest of fall picks and leaves.

Second, I added some blue and white pieces to my display. I love mixing blue with orange.

This little rabbit was a gift from my hubby, so he always sits on my entry table. I simply tied a fall bow around his neck for a little more fall color.

Lastly, using a Command Strip, I hung a fall wreath upon my mirror. Mirrors are great places to hang wreaths. This wreath was one I had picked up last year. I added a little ribbon, a few more leaves, and picks to give it a more fuller appearance.

I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit.  Please check out all of the other wonderful bloggers participating in this fun blog hop. The schedule is listed below. Fall has begun, and I know that you will find lots of great ideas for your decorating. Take care and have a happy Monday!!!
