Autumn Dining Room

Happy Autumn, dear readers! I am so excited for the change in season and cooler temperatures to arrive. Wherever you may be, I hope you are enjoying pleasant weather and all the joys that autumn brings. Decorating my home for fall has brought me so much joy, and I cannot wait to share it with you. Please step inside for a cup of hot cider and a tour of my dining room decorated for the new season.

I always look forward to styling my hutch and buffet for the changing seasons. Before adding fall touches, I decided to combine my Flow Blue collection with my Spode Blue Italian china. I usually display my Flow Blue collection in the French Country piece in the entry hall. However, for fall I decided to do something different, and I will share that with you in the next post.

You will find an abundance of autumn leaves, pumpkins, gourds, apples, and fall berries tucked throughout the shelves. I adore the way the colors combine with the blue and white pieces. The colors of fall are so pretty. When we find shorter days and more time indoors, they provide a feeling of warmth and coziness.

Recently purchased faux dahlias and amaranthus stems are arranged in a blue and white vase. To give it a more realistic look, I simply added nandina branches from my yard. It is amazing how real looking faux blooms are these days.

Pearl embellished pumpkins, decoupaged blue and white pumpkins, berries, and candles add to the centerpiece.

On the opposite side of my dining room, you will find this little corner. It houses a distressed cabinet that stores many of my table linens.

Fall picks and pheasant feathers adorn the silver tea and coffee set. If you look closely, you will notice the tea set even has little pumpkins on the lids.

Another blue and white pumpkin is perched on a tiered stand and surrounded by apples and fall berries. I often get asked about these blue and white pumpkins. They were easy to make. I purchased faux pumpkins at the craft store and simply decoupaged stripes of fabric to the pumpkin. These particular pumpkins have lasted for several years.

Sweet friends, I have much more to show you of my home decorated for fall. I will be back soon to continue the tour. Thank you so much for your visits and kind words. Have a most wonderful and blessed day!
