Early Spring in the Entry Hall

Happy Thursday, sweet friends! I hope that you are having a wonderful week and enjoying beautiful weather. As promised earlier this week, I am sharing more of my spring decor. Please step inside and join me as we take a look around at the seasonal changes in decor.

The decor displayed on the antique French country buffet and shelf changes each season. For spring, I decided that my grandmother’s wedding china would be the perfect adornment. The pattern is Rosebud Chintz by Spode, and the sweet floral pattern is perfect for welcoming spring.

A Rose Medallion bowl is filled with pink and white blooms and flanked with Staffordshire bunnies.

“The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing.”-S. Brown

“Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own.”-Charles Dickens

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.”-Ruth Stout

“The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.”-Gertrude Wister

The framed rabbit prints flanking the buffet belonged to my grandmother. She adored rabbits as much as I do. She had quite a collection of rabbit decor.

The decor at the foot of the stairway has been altered creating a blue and white story for the season.

Long time readers know of my love for anything blue and white. It is timeless and looks really impressive when grouped together in a collection.

Thanks so much for your visits and gracious comments, dear friends. Next Tuesday, I will be joining my tablescaping friends to bring you our spring tables. Enjoy your day and have a wonderful weekend!

Shannon I love your entry and I noticed how your lamps are a close match of your grandmother's Rosebud Chintz dinnerware. I know it is stunning along with the flowers, rabbits and hanging photos. The blue and white is also very pretty. What a nice variety of Spring colors to greet one when entering your lovely home. I adore anything passed down from generation to generation…so many young ones these days do not seem to appreciate the sentiment. Their loss. Have a great day and we will see you next week at the hop. BTW…I posted 4 "OLD" tablescapes of St. Patrick's Day…perhaps you visited them. When you see my blog hop post on Tuesday…you will understand why. Blessings always
