Autumn in the Kitchen

Good morning, dear readers! With all of the beauty that October provides, it is one of my most favorite months. It is my hope that you are healthy and enjoying these lovely autumn days. They go by so quickly! This morning, I want to invite you into my happy place…my kitchen decorated for the autumn season. I absolutely love to cook and spend lots of time in this room. With all that 2020 has brought our way, this room brings me such comfort and joy. It is my wish that it does the same for my family.

Since I do spend the majority of my time in the kitchen, I love to add seasonal touches to the heart of my home…nothing too fussy, just small touches here and there. The tiered tray below resides on my island. For autumn, I simply added a pumpkin, corn, and fall berries along with some autumnal dishes and pottery.

A pumpkin and some bittersweet adds an autumn touch to the Jadeite cake stand.

More bittersweet berries placed in a Spode Blue Italian pitcher creates a simple fall vignette.

My Lantana is still blooming and are as big as shrubs. I gathered some blooms to create a quick bouquet to have something pretty to look at while doing dishes.

The Cinderella pumpkin coach has a prominent place in the window seal. This piece speaks to the little girl in me who loved princesses. The pumpkins light up at night and create such a warm glow.

More bittersweet berries line the ledge above the vent a hood.

The breakfast area also received some fall touches. For a festive touch, I added a garland of fall berries around the chandelier.

Pumpkins, gourds, and berries placed in the Arthur Court bowl create an effortless centerpiece. I think I may just leave it out for Christmas and switch the contents.

Dear friends, thank you so much for your visits and gracious comments. I hope you have a most beautiful and blessed day! Take care!

Do you know if the Cinderella carriage is available anywhere? I must have one!

    • Hi Charlotte, I bought my Cinderella carriage last year when it was on clearance from QVC. It is from the Valerie Parr Hill line. I looked, but I don't think they carry them anymore. Hopefully, she will come out with another one.
