Gathering Around the Thanksgiving Table

Good morning, dear friends! Today, I am so excited to be joining my talented blogging friends to bring you our Thanksgiving tables. This fun event is being hosted by my sweet friend, Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home. You will find links to the tables at the end of this post.

This morning, I want to invite you into my home to gather around my Thanksgiving table for some friendly conversation and delicious turkey and dressing with all the trimmings including pumpkin pie. So come on in and take a seat! My friends are always welcome!

The table is set with my two favorite china patterns….Spode Blue Italian and my Great Grandmother’s Limoges wedding china. I love the way the two mix beautifully together. The crystal is Mikasa Golden Tiara, and the flatware is Michelangelo by Oneida. Both the crystal and flatware were from my bridal registry some twenty-five years ago.

The centerpiece was very simple to compose. My Japanese maple tree was in dire need of a little trimming. The branches seem to fit perfectly into the Spode Blue Italian vase.  A runner of the remaining cut branches, anchored by lace, is strewn across the middle of the table for an extra pop of texture and color. I adore the bright red autumn color that the leaves provide.

A collection of blue and white candle holders flank the centerpiece.
