Happy Tuesday, dear friends! Today, you are in for a real treat! The sweet and talented Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home is hosting a blog hop featuring patriotic porches. A schedule of the participants is posted at the end of this post. If you are visiting from the other blogs, I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit!!!
Independence Day is a holiday that my family holds near and dear to their hearts. My husband’s grandfather and my grandfathers served bravely in World War II. They along with many others, through the years, have made tremendous sacrifices so that we may all enjoy the freedoms that we have today. I always reflect and wonder what that first Independence Day in 1776 was like. It must have been so exciting and frightening at the same time. Those courageous forefathers and their families took such a tremendous risk to create this country we call home, and many have sacrificed and died to protect it.
At the Belle Bleu Home, you will always find our beloved American Flag blowing proudly in the wind.
This beautiful flag serves as a symbol of strength, bravery, sacrifice, hope, and freedom.
Flags are also placed in flower pots on my porch. They are an easy way to add a little more patriotic color.
Uncle Sam has resided every Fourth of July on our front porch for the past 17 years!
Yesterday on the blog, I shared my patriotic table in the backyard. If you missed it, you can read more about it here.
I hope that you all have a very Happy Fourth of July! May that beautiful flag forever proudly wave!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please make sure to visit the other wonderful bloggers on the tour. I know you will be inspired by their patriotism. Also, this week I am joining another group of talented bloggers to bring you our patriotic tables. A schedule for that tour is also posted at the end of this post. I hope that you all have a blessed day, dear friends!!!
