Happy Tuesday, sweet friends!!! Today, I am joining a wonderful group of blogging friends to bring you our fall porches. This spectacular gathering is being hosted by the very talented Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home. Amber has a gorgeous home decorated with lots of wonderful vintage finds. You will find a list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post. If you are visiting from Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate, welcome!
After decorating my porch for Autumn, I almost wasn’t able to photograph it in time for the tour. We have had scattered showers daily followed by cloudy overcast. In fact, I tried to wait for a sunny day, but the sunshine never appeared. Therefore, I had to go ahead and take photos with the clouds looming overhead.
I placed bright yellow mums in my vintage olive buckets, and perched pumpkins at the base. I will have to let you in on a little secret. This year, I chose to use faux pumpkins outdoors. Last year was our first autumn in this house, and I soon discovered I had visitors who loved to eat my pumpkins. I worked so hard decorating the outside with live pumpkins and gourds only to have some little acorn loving creatures like my pumpkins, too! No matter what I tried, those tiny squirrels would not leave my pumpkins alone. They practically ate them to the ground! So this year, I decided to save my money and opt out of the real thing.
A wreath of fall berries embellished with a bow graces the front door.
Flanking the door are more pumpkins along with a birdcage covered in a fall berry vine.
With the money I saved by not buying real pumpkins, I purchased these pretty metal ones that have flameless candles that light up at night.
I made the garland a few years ago that surrounds the door.
Thank you so much for visiting and for your kind comments. Next up on the tour is, Virginia Sweet Pea. A complete list of all of the participants is listed below. Enjoy your day, dear friends!!!

Your porch is so pretty dressed in autumn! Love the pumpkins that light up!
Shannon, your porch looks beautiful dressed in autumn finery! Your blue door is stunning with the wreath and garland around it. Oh those pesky squirrels can wreak havoc. Your porch speaks warmth and is so welcoming! Happy Tuesday sweet friend!
Oh, I love your front door garland and wreath! Beautiful autumn porch–happy to be touring with you! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
It’s just beautiful Shannon! You and Chloe have inspired me to add a fall garland to my front door, I just love the way that looks! I look forward to checking all these outdoor links this week, fabulous fall fun!
Shannon, your porch is simply beautiful. My favorite ~ your pretty mums in the vintage olive buckets, just love them. Squirrels are determined little creatures and when they find something they can enjoy, they don’t give up. I know your pumpkins that light up are pretty in the evening and at night.
Lovely week to you, my sweet and talented friend!
Such a lovely fall entrance! I adore your door color and style! That leaf garland around the door is amazing!
Your garland and wreath look so pretty and really pop with your front door. Love the color combinations!! Happy Touring!
I love the mums in the olive bucket Shannon and your garlands and wreaths are also so pretty. Your pumpkins add a fun punch of Fall color too. It’s all totally fantastic! Happy Fall, CoCo
Beautiful porch. Love the variety of pumpkins and the garland and wreath are so perfect.
Very pretty! The fall colors are beautiful against the door color! Such a welcoming entry!
Shannon I absolutely love your door garland! I need to invest in some metal pumpkins. It is too hot here in Texas and they always rot away even before Halloween, not to mention Thanksgiving. Thank you for the inspiration.
Your entry is so beautiful decorated for fall. I love your garland and wreath and especially love the mum in the olive bucket. I’m hoping that the critters will leave my pumpkins alone this fall. I’ve also had holes eaten in mine and then they start to rot before I notice the hole. I’m new to your blog and am so glad that I discovered it through this tour.
Shannon, everything is so perfect. I love that blue door with your orange fall colors! I’ve never heard of squirrels eating pumpkins before but think of the money you’re saving by being able to use them again next year! And those poor little hungry tummies were full. LOL.
Shannon I love your door garland and wreath. Just gorgeous! Your entry is so welcoming and warm. I hear ya on the pesky squirrels, we have all kinds of critters that like to gnaw on decor. 🙁

Hey Shannon! I love your fall porch! Those metal pumpkins are off the hook – I may have to get a couple of those myself. The wreath and big, beautiful garland really sets everything off. Happy to be on this tour with you!
oh my, what I fight you must have had last year with the little critters eating your pumpkins! I love your pumpkins, faux or real, they look wonderful. The garland is so pretty, I can’t believe you made it!
Very nice, Shannon. I love a protected entry, not only for shelter, but to be able to decorate as nicely as you’ve done. Now, the squirrels, that’s another story. My garden’s another story too. I’ve had Indian corn eaten within an hour of using it to decorate with on my porch, but they’ve always left my pumpkins until I actually crack them open on the riverbank in late Nov. That’s funny (not funny) that they bit right into yours! I wonder if they’ve tried on the faux pumpkins? I suppose we live and learn…..
So pretty shannon! Same problem here with all the rain and dark days until the last couple of days when it was sunny but misearably hot. Your photos still look bright and beautiful! Love the pumpkins in the olive buckets and the urns by your door are fabulous.
Well, just discovered I won’t be able to keep live pumpkins and gourds on the newly refereshed back porch! The critters have been scratching away and now they are already starting to rot! No problems on the front porch at least!
I love your door color too! So pretty with a fall wreath!
Thanks for joining us for the tours. Happy fall!
It’s all very beautiful Shannon! Faux pumpkins look great. I did have a deer take a few nibbles out of one of my pumpkins one year. It made me smile. You have a very warm and welcoming entry! Glad you will be sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Your blue door really sets off all the pretty, fall colors! Love those luminary pumpkins; way cool! I hate when the wildlife start nibbling on my decorations, too:( Don’t they know it’s just for decoration? I used to tell my kids that when they were little and I had candy in jars;)
Shannon,
This tour is the year for blue front doors! And, I am loving everyone of them. Bleu really does go well with orange and yellow and your Fall decorations look beautiful on your front porch. I love home tours because I get to see all the details about houses that are so special, like your brick arch opening leading to your multi-paned front door. I love that style door. Our first front door on this house was a half-window pane and half-wood raised panel door painted in my favorite bleu. Unfortunately, our house was burglarized and the culprits kicked on our front door, breaking the wood. When we replaced the door we went with a stronger metal door that makes me feel safer.
Happy Fall,
Judith
The blue door, the garland around the door, the towers of pumpkins … everything is perfect!!!
Shannon, It’s all so beautiful! I love the garland, it’s something on my wish list for some year soon!! Yours is gorgeous! Love touring with you!
I love your autumn porch, Shannon! It is all so beautiful!! I especially loved how you placed your mums in the olive buckets. So fun to join you on this tour.
Oh Shannon, your entire porch is so welcoming but the winner is those elegant pierced metal pumpkins. I bet they are lovely at night with the soft glow of candlelight. The garland around your door is great!
