Good morning, dear friends! Thanksgiving is upon us, and I can hardly wait. I am busy this morning baking apple cakes and making other items to take to my Thanksgiving gatherings. On this Thanksgiving Eve, a sweet blogging friend Katherine, at Katherine’s Corner, is hosting a gathering of grateful tables. A list of the other participants and their links is posted below.
This year I have a lot to be thankful for. I now live much closer to all of my family and have the opportunity to see them on a frequent basis. I am very fortunate to be able to attend two dinners on Thanksgiving day….lunch at my parent’s house and dinner at my in-law’s house.
Since I am not hosting this year, I thought I would revisit last year’s Thanksgiving table. It is a little bittersweet looking back through the photographs taken at my previous home. Although I am beyond ecstatic to be closer to my family, I loved my previous house so much. The memories created there will always have a special place in my heart, and I look forward to the new memories that I will create in my new home.
Last year’s blue and white table theme was created using items that I already had on hand.
A cream lace tablecloth was used as the underpinning, and Blue Italian Spode china mixed with Limoges china made up each placesetting.
Blue ginger jars were placed throughout the table to reinforce the blue and white theme.
A sweet little pumpkin was placed at each setting.
I am so thankful for my sweet readers. You will never know what your visits mean to me. It is my wish that each of you have a wonderful. happy, and blessed Thanksgiving holiday.
