Welcome friends to a parade of summer blooms. Today, I am excited to be a guest for Monday Morning Blooms. I love all things flowers so it always makes me happy to join my friends for some much needed flower therapy. Spending time gardening or arranging flowers is always good for the mind, body, and soul.
“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food, and medicine for the soul.”-Luther Burbank

On the first Monday of the month, Lidy at the French Garden House, Pam at Everyday Living, and Mary at Home is Where the Boat Is share their stunning floral creations. It is always an honor to join them as a guest bloomer. Links to their beautiful flowers can be found at the end of this post.

Last week was a busy week, and Friday was the only available day to create my arrangement and take photographs. I had planned to take pictures outside, but it was raining. You won’t hear me complain, because an August rain is a blessing. We received over two inches!
The majority of the flowers for my arrangement came from my gardens. This year, I got a little handy with the fertilizer, and I have oodles of Black-eyed Susans. Joining the Black-eyed Susans are White Wedding Hydrangeas, Purple Crepe Myrtle Blooms, Butterfly Bush Blooms, Sunflowers, Lisianthus, and Diamond Frost Euphorbia. A Spode Blue Italian pitcher makes the perfect vessel for my bouquet.

“The earth paints a portrait of the sun at dawn with sunflowers in bloom. Unhappy with the portrait, she erases it and paints it again and again.”-Rabindranath Tagore

Accompanying my arrangement on the pastry table is a small bouquet of Butterfly Bush Blooms and miniature Zinnias. In the spring, I found these little Zinnia plants at a local nursery. They have really flourished and make a pretty border plant in my flower bed. The petite bouquet is placed in one of my most prized possessions, a cream jar that was from my Grandparent’s dairy.

“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.”-Vincent Van Gogh

“Happiness is to hold flowers in both hands.”-Japanese Proverb

“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”-Henri Matisse

“Flowers are the music of the ground. From Earth’s lips spoken without sound.”-Edwin Curran

As I was photographing my arrangement, the rain stopped, and the sun started to shine through the window casting lovely beams of light into the room.

Enjoying my afternoon of flower arranging, I made a coordinating bouquet to place on the table between the two floral chairs.

I arranged my flowers in a sweet vintage pitcher given to me by a dear family member.

“She sprouted love like flowers, grew a garden in her mind, and even on the darkest days, from her smile the sun still shined.”-Erin Hanson

Dear friends, I am so honored that you joined me for some flower therapy on this first Monday of August. Enjoy these last days of summer!

Have a wonderful and blessed day! Remember to visit my friend’s beautiful posts. You will find links below.
