Welcome to My Halloween Party

Welcome, friends, to my Halloween party! This week, I am joining a Halloween Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by the very talented Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate. There is lots of spooky fun to be had! Be sure to check out all of the other tablescapes on the schedule posted below. I know that you will find wonderful inspiration for your Halloween parties.

For this tablescape, I chose to use items that I already had on hand.

However, I did add one new item….this cute little witch that I found at Tuesday Morning. I knew that the kids would get a kick out of her, and she made the perfect centerpiece!

I host a Halloween party every year for my children after they are finished trick or treating. It is a tradition that was started by my Grandmother. As I was growing up, I was very fortunate that all of my cousins lived in the same town. There were 9 of us, and every year we would go to my Grandmother’s house for a Halloween party. It was always so much fun, and I am so blessed to have these happy memories.

Spiders, glitter pumpkins, and fall berries also grace the table.

For the underpinning of the table, I chose a dark navy french tablecloth. Burlap placemats anchor each place setting. The plate stack consist of a red and white polka dot plate topped with a pumpkin plate. The glassware is American Fostoria.

Candy corn can be found throughout the table. A little boy, who shall remain nameless, kept sneaking candy from his Momma’s table.

On the buffet, I displayed a jack-o-lantern and ghosts. These are the same decorations that my Mom put out when my brother and I were younger. Now, I put them out for my children to enjoy. Sadly, this year, I only have one trick or treater. The other two are too old. Time goes by so fast, and it is so fun to still have a little one around.

I am so happy that you stopped by for my Halloween party. Please visit the other wonderful Halloween tablescapes.

In the coming weeks, I have more of the new house to show you along with some fall decor ideas. We have been really busy working on lots of projects around the house.

Take care, and I hope that you have a happy Monday, sweet friends!!!

  1. Hi Shannon, Your witch is a spooktacular addition as a centerpiece for your table! One thing I love about your table is that you can easily remove your witch, spiders and black glitter pumpkins in the centerpiece, and your table magically transitions back to fall with those beautiful autumnal pumpkin plates! What a wonderful tradition to carry on from your grandmother with a Halloween party too. It’s always fun blog hopping with you. ♥

  2. Your Halloween table looks superb!! Your new witch looks like she is residing over all, making sure they have a scary good time! I agree with you, sad are the days when the kids are too old to trick or treat!! Enjoy that last one!

  3. Beautiful table, and I love the special pieces and memories from your childhood making memories for the next generation. Those plates are so wonderful for the whole fall season.

  4. Shannon, I agree with Mary.. just remove the witch and your table transitions. Your witch however makes the perfect centerpiece for your Halloween party. I love the pumpkin plates…there is a touch of elegance to your spooktacular table. I love family traditions and how wonderful that you continue what your grandmother started! Fun table my sweet friend!

  6. Adorable Shannon! Love your grand witch centerpiece ruling over the pumpkin place settings! The sidebar steals the show with the big ceramic Jack o lantern and ghostly trick or treaters! It all looks fabulous with your beloved blue too! What is your little trick or treater going to be this year?

  7. Your witch is wonderfully fun! Having kids around at Halloween makes Halloween so much more fun. With our kids grown and out of the house, it’s pretty bland. Besides, we have no trick-or-treat-ers since we live in the middle of nowhere. So sad…no cute little dressed up goblins to squeal over. I love the tradition your grandmother started. It’s wonderful that you’re carrying on her practice and making memories for your kids (and future grands, I’m sure). Your table is wonderful! Have a fun party! 🙂

  8. What a sweet tradition started by your grandmother. I can only imagine how much she loved seeing all her grandchildren dressed up and celebrating halloween. Thank you for sharing your fun halloween table.

  9. I want to come to your Halloween party!!! Love that witch. She is darling.ha ha

  10. What a fun Halloween tablescape! Your witch is the perfect centerpiece and I like how you decorated around her with the colourful sparkly spiders and candy corn in the glasses – glad your little trick-or-treater left some for your display 🙂 The decor on your sideboard behind the table coordinates wonderfully with the table. Having all your cousins in the same town and having a party together at your grandmother’s sounds like a terrific time and a memory you know doubt cherish. Enjoying the start to the Blog Hop!

  11. WOW! What a gorgeous display. Everything is so lovely and just right for Halloween. Thank you for sharing.

The witch casts a spell over this festive table! I love how the navy French tablecloth creates a foundation and adds a subtle pattern. Burlap placemats show off the gorgeous stacked plates, and your napkins are so lovely, too. Candy corn in the cocktail glasses are so much fun! Loved playing with you this week!

  26. Hi Shannon! Great table, and great room! I don’t know how I have missed that pretty blue print on your chairs in the past. The best part about this is the story behind it! You are so blessed to have everyone together for this tradition, and to have had that with your cousins when you were young. I am sure your own children will remember this fondly as they grow up. Thank you so much for being a part of another great tablescape blog hop! Oh, and I love your witch!

  36. Shannon, this table is so adorable with your darling witch perched on the pedestal. I love the way you’ve mixed the fall details with the Halloween touches. You can tweak the table to be fall once Halloween is over. Great idea!
