FRENCH COUNTRY TABLESCAPE

The inspiration for today’s tablescape is the French Countryside.  I love all the beautiful colors that are associated with French Country- blues, yellows, greens, and reds. These colors seem perfect for a Summertime Dinner. Although we love to eat outdoors during the Summer, today’s Dinner will be inside due to the high winds we have been having.

I chose a French Country tablecloth for the underpinning of my table. The tablecloth is from France and showcases all the beautiful colors of the French Countryside.

Yellow straw placemats anchor the placesetting.  The plates I chose are from the Temp-tations line.  The pattern is called “Old World.”  For the glassware, I chose Mikasa Golden Tiara crystal.  The flatware is Michelangelo by Oneida.  The napkins are from France and are blue and white in a traditional French Country Pattern.  I purchased the bright red floral napkin rings at Hobby Lobby. They tie back to the red color of the centerpiece.

I chose a simple centerpiece of red geraniums flanked by antique brass candlesticks with cream colored candles. The antique brass candlesticks actually belonged to the late Mr. Charles Faudree.  If you read my previous blog from Monday, my thoughtful husband surprised me with a French Pastry Table and a lamp that was in the home of Charles Faudree, He took me back to the estate sale on Saturday, and I found these lovely candlesticks.  I can’t believe that no one had bought them.

  2. Shannon, I love all things Provencal and your table is beautifully French! Charles Faudree was my favorite designer and I had the privilege of meeting him several years ago. He was warm and personable! To own something from his estate must be fabulous! Pam @ Everyday Living
