AN AUTUMN TABLESCAPE

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! I hope that you are having a wonderful week, and enjoying this beautiful Autumn season.  Those of you who are in the path of Hurricane Matthew, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

In the future weeks, I will be doing a tablescape series featuring Fall themed tablescapes.  I hope to give you ideas for your Fall entertaining and Thanksgiving tables. Today’s tablescape features one of my favorite patterns, Johnson Brothers Friendly Village. I have always loved the pattern, and a few years ago my parents gave me the set as a Christmas gift.  This china is perfect to use during both the Fall and Winter seasons.

For the underpinning of the tablescape, I chose a gold toned brocade tablecloth.

The place setting is anchored with gold charger plates. For the plate stack, I chose to mix the Johnson Brothers Friendly Village with my Mikasa English Countryside plates.

Below is a close up of the bowls. I love the scene of the sweet cottage and apple trees.

For the tea cups, I chose to use some antique Limoges cups.

The crystal is Golden Tiara by Mikasa.

A Fall floral arrangement flanked by gold mercury glass candle holders complete the centerpiece of the tablescape.

Fall berries and burnt russet colored candles were placed upon the candle holders.
