A Table of Blessings

Happy Tuesday, dear readers! It is hard to believe that November is upon us, and Thanksgiving is a little over three weeks away. Not to worry though, today I am joining seventeen table stylists to bring you our Thanksgiving tables. Links to their beautiful and inspiring creations can be found at the end of this post. Our gracious host is Rita from Panoply. She deserves a big thank you for all that she does to organize these fun gatherings.

Today, I set my table to give thanks for you, my sweet friends. I am truly grateful for your visits over the years and thoughtful, kind, and encouraging words. You will never truly know how much you have brightened my days. Please step inside and gather around my table of blessings to celebrate each of you.

I have a weakness for a variety of feathered friends and recently found this tablecloth on Amazon. The colorful turkeys along the border give a nod to a more traditional Thanksgiving setting.

The centerpiece was created using a potted mum and autumn berries placed in a Johnson Brothers Friendly Village tureen.

Coral roses in red vases flank the centerpiece and are joined by cranberry candlesticks.

“Those blessings are sweetest that are won with prayer and worn with thanks.”-Thomas Goodwin

Ornate copper chargers are topped with my favorite Johnson Brothers Friendly Village dinnerware. I use these dishes for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. My dad and mom started the collection as a Christmas gift, and over the years I have added additional pieces. Each place setting is topped with turkey napkins tied with pearl napkin rings.

Rounding out each place setting is a Mikasa Golden Tiara goblet and Oneida Michelangelo flatware.

“The thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surround us.”-James E. Faust

No matter our circumstances there are always blessings around us. Even in times of trouble, if we just look closely there is always a blessing. Today, my heart is truly full of gratitude.

“I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.”-Henry David Thoreau

Dear readers, thank you again for your visits and gracious comments. It brings me so much joy! May your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, happiness, and love.
