CHOCOLATE COVERED PEANUT BUTTER BALLS

INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups of Good Quality Smooth Peanut Butter ( I used Jiff for my candy.)

3/4 Cup of Softened Butter

3 Cups of Rice Crispy Cereal

16 Ounce Box of Powdered Sugar

1 Pound of Chocolate Almond Bark

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1.  Mix the 2 cups of smooth peanut butter and 3/4 cup of the softened butter together until smooth.
  2. Crush the three cups of Rice Crispy Cereal, and add to the mixture.
  3. Add the box of powdered sugar to the mix.
  4. Stir all the ingredients together until well mixed.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for at least two hours.  This will be helpful in forming the balls.
  6. After the mixture has been refrigerated for at least two hours, it is ready to dip into the chocolate.
  7. Roll the mixture into one inch balls, and dip into the melted chocolate almond bark.*You may have a better technique for dipping the candy, but I used two spoons. You could also use toothpicks or a skewer.*
  8. Place the dipped balls onto wax paper or foil and allow to cool. After cooling store in an air tight container.

These candies make the perfect gifts. I found these sweet treat boxes at Big Lots. I simply added my candy to the box and tied it up with a pretty ribbon.

    • Trisha, the cereal adds a nice little crunch. If you like peanut butter balls, I bet that you would love these. I love anything with peanut butter! I am so happy that you stopped by, and I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas!!!

  4. Yum! I love these. Unfortunately my hubby doesn’t. He likes peanut butter on its own and he likes chocolate on its own but not together. I don’t get that but anyway that is how things are here in my home. Thankfully, he likes most everything else. Thanks for sharing your recipe and have a lovely joy filled week leading up to Christmas Day.

    Christmas blessings,
    Sandi

  9. Such a fabulous recipe! I make these often with or without the Rice Krispies. In Ohio they are called Buckeyes because they look just like Buckeyes.

I am loving your dishes!! Are this Pioneer Women’s dishes?
