READING NOOK

For the past month, I’ve been working on my upstairs bonus room. It is a large room with two nice sized dormers and a half bath.  The room is going to serve as a multi-purpose room with a home office, reading nook, and television area.  I have been decorating the room on a budget by shopping the house, store sales, and consignments. Today, I would like to give you a sneak peek of a small part of the room. I’m going to show you one of my favorite areas of the room, the reading nook.  It is a neat little nook with a nice window that lets in lots of light that is perfect for reading and enjoying a morning cup of tea or coffee.

The fire place is perfect on a cold winter’s night.  I purchased it at a great price.  A couple of years ago, a big box store was wanting to sell their floor models of electric fireplaces. I bought two for less than the price of one.  The other fireplace is in my master bedroom.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I have one more decorating project that I’m working on for my reading nook.  I purchased a chandelier for $30 from a woman who was selling several very nice items from her home because she was moving.  So, stay tuned, because I plan on making the chandelier over to fit the style of the area.  I hope that you have a great Wednesday!!!
