Monday Morning Blooms-Giving Thanks

Happy November, sweet friends. Today, I am thrilled beyond measure to be a guest bloomer for Monday Morning Blooms. On the first Monday of each month, my talented flower loving friends Pam, Lidy, and Mary share their floral creations. Each month, I look forward to their stunning floral designs. A link to their beautiful arrangements can be found at the end of this post.

This month’s Monday Morning Blooms theme is “giving thanks.” To me, that is a most appropriate theme. My heart is truly grateful for my many blessings. No matter how good or bad my day may be, I always have blessings to be thankful for.

Last week, the weather was gorgeous with a beautiful blue sky and plenty of sunshine. It was the perfect setting for an outdoor tablescape.

For the underpinning of my table, I chose a deep rose-colored French tablecloth. I love French table linens and have been collecting them for several years. Their patterns and vibrant colors make me smile.

A recent trip to Trader Joe’s yielded some very pretty blooms. I have a terrible weakness for flowers and may have gone a little overboard in choosing my blooms. It is so overwhelming will all of the beautiful flower selections. It often becomes difficult for me to make up my mind!

For my arrangement, I chose a vintage champagne bucket with a little patina. My bouquet consists of mums, dahlias, spray roses, alstroemeria, and seeded eucalyptus.

Aren’t these dahlias just gorgeous?

I adore the ruffled petals of these pretty mums.

To compliment the pinks and purples of the floral arrangement, I chose to use my ruffled linen placemats by Crown Linen Designs. The color of the placemats is a pinkish lilac tone and makes the perfect contrast to the rose-colored tablecloth.

Since today is all about pretty blooms, I thought it only fitting to use my Grandmother’s Spode Rosebud Chintz china.

My favorite turkey plate completes the plate stack.

After enjoying a lovely afternoon outdoors, I decided to place my arrangement indoors. That way, I could enjoy the pretty blooms a little longer. The coffee table in my sitting room seemed to be the perfect spot.

Dear friends, I am truly grateful for your visits. Also, a heartfelt thanks goes to my gracious hostesses Pam, Lidy, and Mary for inviting me to join them today. It is truly an honor and a privilege. Please be sure to visit these talented ladies. I promise it will be a feast for the eyes! Take care, and have a blessed and joyous day!
