Master Bedroom Reveal

Happy Monday, friends! Today,  I am so excited to share my master bedroom with you. It has been very busy around the house, and several things are finally starting to fall into place. Funny how that just seems to happen.

This week we have painters coming to finish the kitchen, sunroom, and bathrooms.  Mr. Bleu has painted most of the house, and he does a beautiful job.  However, he has been so busy with work that he has decided to hire someone to finish painting the house.  We are anxious to get the repairs and painting completed before the holidays.

This past week, I attended a couple of estate sales looking for items for the new house. One particular sale was held at a Jack Arnold house decorated by none other than the late Charles Faudree. It looked as if you had stepped into the pages of his beautiful design books.  I purchased a couple of treasures for my home, and I can’t wait to share them with you.  For now, let’s take a look at my finished master bedroom.

This house came with some beautiful window treatments. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the ones in the master bedroom. They blended perfectly with my existing bedding. I love them!

The bedroom color was the same mauve brown tone as you saw in previous posts. It was so dark and dreary. Straw by Benjamin Moore brightened the room right up and made it a much happier space. The decor is pretty much the same as it was at my previous house. I adore red, and love my bedding. It wasn’t something that I wanted to change. Anyway, I hear that red is making a big comeback in home decor. I have always used red in my homes.  I like color and believe you should decorate with what makes you happy.

My favorite tole lamp found a place in my new room.

This is a little corner sitting area that I created in the space.

Thanks for stopping by today.  This week a Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop is going on. My table will be featured Wednesday, and a schedule of the participating blogs is posted below. I honestly can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than a month away. Where has the time gone? I hope that you have a blessed and happy day, sweet friends!

  4. So beautiful Shannon..how lucky were you that the drapes came with the house and goes so well with your bedding! I am sure you are so pleased with the way your master bedroom turned out in your new home…the house seems to have been waiting for you!!!….Looking forward to your treasures from the estate sale…I cannot believe that there was a estate sale of a home that was decorated by the late and great Charles Faudree…what an experience!

    • Thank you, Shirley. There are so many homes in Tulsa that were decorated by Charles Faudree. I was talking with the man who was conducting the sale (he was also the one I bought the lamp and pastry table from). He told me, during his warehouse sale in December, he will be selling some more of Mr. Faudree’s personal items. He had such a strong presence in this area, and people really admired his work and still do. The line was a mile long for several days during this last sale. I’m anxious to see what items will be at the warehouse sale. I hope that you enjoy your week!

  5. What a warm and cozy bedroom, Shannon! Love your choices and can’t wait to see the goodies from the estate sale. Happy Monday!

I love your bedroom! Every detail!
I’ve been looking for a coverlet like you red one
but unable to locate. Just need the coverlet nothing else. Any other ideas?

    • Hi Suzy, thank you so much for your sweet comment! I’m sorry to report that I have not seen just the coverlet alone. I have only seen it in a set. If I see one like it, I’ll be sure and let you know. I hope you enjoy your week!

  14. I LOVE your bedroom. I’ve been looking for a buffalo check bedskirt like yours. Where did you find it?

    • Hi Mary Beth, my bedskirt was part of a comforter set by Sherry Kline. I ordered it from Neiman Marcus, but you can also order it from their sister store Horchow. Both stores rotate putting the set on sale, so you might keep an eye out. Thank you so much for sweet comment! I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

  15. Roberta Kozul

I’ve been searching for months for bedding that looks like this. I love French country and red! I’m redoing my master bedroom and cannot find this type bedding set. Any suggestions on how I can find it?

  16. Alice hostetler

Where did you purchase the red quilt or bedspread on your bed? And where did your bedroom furniture come from? I have a wrought iron bed I’d love to fix up my bedroom similar to yours.
