Happy Wednesday , sweet friends! I can’t believe that Labor Day is next Monday, and that the final weeks of summer are fast approaching. As for me, I don’t want to rush time, and I am savoring the final days of the season.
A recent trip to the grocery store inspired this late summer kitchen vignette. The store had roses on sale for $7 a dozen. That deal was too good to pass up! Even better, they had yellow roses. Their bright color just makes me happy!
Just a couple of items from nature can create a new look and pretty display. I simply shopped my house and gathered teacups, saucers, something to contain the apples, and a container for the flowers. I chose a tray to place my display upon. Trays are great for vignettes!
Adding a few green apples adds additional color and texture to the natural display.

Shannon, your vignette is lovely. I am such a lover of blue and white and I feel when you add yellow you have a little picture of heaven. I always think of the quote by Van Gogh – “there is no blue without yellow.” Or maybe it is no yellow without blue. Anyway, he was correct.
