Why I’ve Been Absent and My Favorite Projects

Happy Monday, sweet friends. I am so sorry to have been absent from posting for the past month.  To all of you, who have sent messages of concern about my welfare, I am truly touched by your thoughtfulness. It means more to me than you will ever know. However, I have not been absent for a bad reason. In fact, it is something very happy. Mr. Bleu received notice that he could relocate with his job from the Oklahoma City area to the Tulsa area. What makes this extra exciting is that is where we are originally from, and it is where all of our family is located. Needless to say, everyone is over the moon that we are moving back.  As you already know, by my blog, family means everything to me, and I miss my loved ones so much! Even though, I truly love where I live, I am anxious to move back home.  However, there is one catch.  We must sell our house first.  So, we have spent the last weeks getting the house ready to sell. It is finally on the market, and now comes the daunting task of selling a house.

For today’s post, I thought I would take a look back at some of my favorite remodel projects that Mr. Bleu and I have done to our home. I’ve included links if you would like to read about any of the projects illustrated below. I apologize for some of the photography. A lot of the photos are from my very first days of blogging.

Butler’s Pantry

My first favorite project is the small office that we turned into a French Country Butler’s Pantry. This may be one of my most favorite spots in the house. Below is the before picture.  It was a small space and did not serve the purpose of an office very well.

With a little thought and some elbow grease, we turned the above space into this wonderfully useful area.

Adding Hardwoods

Another favorite project was adding hardwoods to the house. Although I didn’t think I would survive all of the dust, in the end, the mess was well worth the reward.

French Country Powder Bath

Redoing the powder bath to create a pretty space was another rewarding effort. Below is the before picture.

Master Bathroom

And last but not least, our master bathroom remodel that was just recently completed has to be my most favorite endeavor. Below is the before photograph.

I am really going to miss this space. I still can’t believe the transformation!

Thank you so much for taking a walk down memory lane with me. Again, I apologize for being absent. Things have just been a little hectic. I have some fun Summer posts planned, and I can’t wait to share them with you.  Take care, and I hope that you have a very Happy Monday!!!
