A Fun and Easy Valentine

Good morning, sweet friends! I was recently scanning Pinterest for inspiration for an easy Valentine craft.  I came upon this fun craft that would be great to create for your friends and neighbors. It is also a wonderful craft to do with children.

Fabric Glue or Thread

The instructions are very simple for this project. First, I ironed the flour sack tea towel to smooth out the wrinkles. I then folded the towel to showcase the display side. Next, I placed a piece of cardboard underneath the strip of fabric I would be painting on. This is an important step and will keep the paint from bleeding through. Finally,  I placed the doillie into place and dabbed the fabric paint onto the fabric with a sponge brush. Once the paint is applied, carefully remove the doillie.

Allow the tea towel to dry for at least 24 hours. Then, dry iron the towel using a pressing cloth to set the fabric paint. If you want to make your towel look extra special, you can add a pretty trim such as ric rac or lace. I used fabric glue to secure the trim. You could also sew it on if you choose. This was a project I did with my kids, so I wanted to keep it simple.
