Dining Room Table Decor

Happy Wednesday, dear friends! I’m so happy that you have stopped by for a visit. After Christmas, I decided that I wanted a new look for the top of my dining room table. In between the time that seasonal decor graces my table,  I usually place a professionally made faux floral arrangement on top of the table. However, I wanted a change and decided to do something a little different. So come along, and I’ll show you how I created my simple new look.

Have you every received a catalog from one of those fancy home decor stores that displays all the pretty blue and white pieces as a centerpiece? I have always dreamed of owning their gorgeous pieces, but they can carry a pretty lofty price tag. Well, I decided to create their look at a fraction of the cost.

I chose various sizes of the ginger jars to flank the orchid. These ginger jars are extra special, because they are on timers and light up in the evening. They create such a wonderful glow on a cold winter’s night.

The orchid is really pretty and has such a realistic presence. From a distance, your would never know that it is not real.

The opposite side of my dining room houses my antique china cabinet.

I decided to add a little extra blue to this area, too.

Blue Hydrangeas were placed in a jardiniere.

For a finishing touch, a blue and white lamp was added to the display.

Next, week I am so thrilled to be joining a wonderful group of bloggers to bring you ideas for your Valentine tables. I hope that you will be able to join us, because there will be lots of beautiful inspiration.  Have a happy and blessed day, sweet friends!!!
