DESIGNING A FALL TIERED TRAY

I hope that you a had wonderful weekend.  It was a beautiful weekend in Oklahoma.  Saturday, our high was 79.  It inspired me to do some Fall decorating.  Saturday, I purchased my Fall flowers, and I’m going to start planting them this week. The gorgeous weather also inspired me to start decorating my porch for Fall. I will be sharing that with you soon, along with other Autumn decorating ideas.  In the coming weeks, I will also be giving you a tour of my home decorated for Fall. I can’t wait to share it with you. This is one of my favorite seasons!

Today, I’m going to show you how to put together a Fall tiered tray that you can place on your kitchen island, dining table, sideboard, buffet, or any other place you can think of.  Thoughts of Home on Tuesday, which is put on a by group of talented bloggers, asked several bloggers to share their Fall tiered tray creations.  You can see all kinds of tiered tray creations by visiting any four of these blogs. They are Poofing the Pillows, At Home With Jemma, White Spray Paint, and Decor to Adore.

To provide a larger base for my tiered tray, I used a yellow platter.

I placed my tiered tray to one side of the platter.  Tiered trays are very popular and can be found at several home decorator shops. I found mine at Hobby Lobby, and they have several styles to choose from. My tiered tray gets a lot of use. It usually can be found in the butler’s pantry on the coffee bar holding coffee cups. On the top and bottom tiers of the tray, I placed assorted Fall berries, pumpkins, and gourds.

On one side the platter, I stacked some blue and white tea cups and saucers, added some spoons, Fall berries, and a little rooster for a touch of whimsy. I love the combination of blue with orange for Fall.
