Christmas Living Room Tour

Happy Monday, dear friends! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend, and that you are enjoying this glorious holiday season. Can you believe that Christmas is only a little over two weeks away? I have been busy as a bee decorating, planning, and shopping. My heart is full of joy, and I just love this time of year! I truly enjoy making my home warm and inviting for my family.  It honestly makes my heart sing and brings me a tremendous amount of joy to make this time special for them.  Today, I want to give you a tour of my living room adorned for the holidays. So, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and join me for the tour.

This year’s living room tree is a traditional tree in red, blue, and gold adorned with angels and religious ornaments. Next week, I’ll share the memory tree that is in the sunroom. It is a tree that the kids decorate and is filled with homemade ornaments and ornaments that reflect a special memory.

Below is a view of the tree at night.

The mantel colors coordinate back to the tree decor.

A red magnolia wreath is hung on the federalist mirror using a Command Strip. I love to hang wreaths on mirrors.

Red berry candle rings are added to the gold candle holders for more sparkle and color.

A garland of Christmas greens adorned with pretty ribbon and red ornaments complete the look.

This simple tray vignette was created for the coffee table. The tree is one of my favorite things. It runs on batteries and continually sparkles like a snow globe.

You can never go wrong with a pretty dish of candy perched upon a stack of favorite Christmas stories. Can you believe that I have already had to refill it three times? A couple of little elves seem to be helping themselves to the treats.

A bouquet of Christmas greens and berries finishes the coffee table ensemble.

This is a view of the living room as you walk into the room from the kitchen.

Another bouquet of greens and berries along with Santa create another vignette on an end table.

Sweet friends, I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit, and I am so thankful for each and every one of you.  Your visits and kind words mean more to me than you will ever know. Enjoy your Monday, and savor the moments of this special holiday season.  Time passes so quickly. May you have a blessed and happy day!!!

  5. Shannon, Your living room is gorgeous! I love the Cardinal nesting atop the tree & the berry candle rings. Your themed tree has beautiful ornaments. The “snow globe” is a favorite of mine as well. Clara ??

  6. Oh Shannon, your tree and mantel are simply stunning! I love the traditional and elegant way you have paired your beloved blue with Christmas reds and greenery! I like the idea of putting a memory tree up for those cherished children’s decorations, and having a formal tree in your living room. Our tree is in the foyer, which is central to the main floor and can be seen from several rooms, but it’s always decorated with a mix of decorations. I would love to do a more designer tree, maybe next year, you have inspired me to try!!

You mantel is also a showstopper dressed in its beautiful Christmas finery! I would love to visit and have a cup of tea and chat, wouldn’t that be perfect?
