Summer Kitchen Tour

Good Morning, sweet friends! I hope that your August is off to a great start. The summer has just gone by too fast! Before you know it, fall is going to be knocking on our door.

Today, I am so excited to give you a tour of the kitchen at the new house. It was love at first site for me.  This space is perfect  to prepare meals, gather family, and entertain loved ones! The kitchen is always the heart of my home and where some of my most happiest memories are made. I can’t wait to prepare fall and winter meals in this kitchen.

The previous home owners had great taste and chose such lovely finishes for the house. The cabinets are a stained alder wood, and I adore the warmth they give the space.

I’ve chose to display several of my tole trays throughout the kitchen.

Around the kitchen, you will find lots of blue and white pieces mixed with some of my Country French items.

I love having a kitchen window with a lovely view. In the afternoons, when I am cooking dinner, the deer come up to graze in the yard, They are fun to watch, but sometimes they upset me when they choose to dine on my flowers and Hostas. You may also spy a hummingbird feeder in the background. Many different species frequently stop by for a sweet drink.

Below is an area of the kitchen that serves as the perfect coffee bar.

I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit! Tomorrow, I hope that you will stop back by, because I am joining several blogging friends to show you how we celebrate summer. I will be sharing an alfresco summer tablescape.

I hope that you all have a very happy and blessed day!!!

Oh yes! A wonderful kitchen with all the modern facilities, yet with old, family oriented heart! The big square island, set up like an old fashioned kitchen table for all to gather around in the middle of the kitchen, is perfect!

    • Thank you, Sylvia, for your sweet words! We are really enjoying this space, and you are correct… the island is a wonderful spot for us to all gather, I find we use it more than the kitchen table. I hope that you have a wonderful week!!!

  4. Your kitchen is beautiful, Shannon! I have some blue items and am using blue in my great room off the kitchen and am now thinking I’ll bring a few piece into the kitchen. Great inspiration, thanks for sharing!

ADORE!!!!!!! I love this warm and inviting space in your new home and you have it dressed perfectly! The trays and the roosters are calling my name!?

  9. Love your kitchen! We are building and our kitchen will have a similar layout, so you’ve given me some great ideas, I especially love the upper corner cabinet with glass. We share a fondness for ceramic roosters and tole painted trays! So glad to be able to follow a blog that features colorful French country design?❤️

Shannon, your kitchen is gorgeous! I love all the lovely French touches you’ve incorporated. Although I do like some white kitchens–especially if the space is really tiny–to me, nothing makes a kitchen feel as cozy as the warmth of beautifully grained. stained wood. I know you will make many cherished memories in your new kitchen. Are you still near Bixby? My youngest son and family live just 20 minutes from there.

    • Hi Bobbi! Thank you so much for your very sweet words! We are now living on the East side of Broken Arrow. We are kind of out in the country, and we are loving it! It is so quiet, and there is lots of wonderful nature. The good thing is that we are even closer to our family, and everyone loves that, Take care, and enjoy your week!!!

  11. Your kitchen is beautiful Shannon, how lucky to find a house with a kitchen that you love! Your tole trays look so pretty and the coffee bar area is wonderful, I would love having a separate space for that! I know you will enjoy the island for lots of things, a perfect place for a casual meal or buffet, not to mention a delightful spot to linger!

  12. Another beautiful kitchen Shannon. It appears that you share my love of pitchers and creamers, but you have a knack for displaying them in interesting ways! I’m going to have to try to copy some of your ideas. I hope you make many happy family memories in your new kitchen.

  13. 15. Hmmmmm, I can’t seem to find the oven!!! This kitchen is so warm and inviting. Creating meals in there will definitely be a pleasure! Such a relief from all the white sterile kitchens all over the internet! Just lovely!

    • Thank you so much, Rebecca! I am so sorry…I must have been in a hurry, and I left out a picture of the oven side of the kitchen. I promise to include it next time. Take care, and have a happy and blessed week!!!
