Spring Living Room Tour

Good morning, my dear friends! Spring is upon us, and I hope that you are well and taking care. My family is doing good, and we are keeping busy around the house. The kids are in great spirits and have been very understanding regarding the extra precautions we are taking. We have to use caution, because two of my children have problems with their immune systems. Making the best of our time, we are catching up on some spring cleaning, taking walks, watching movies, and eating lots of good food. My poor dishwasher is getting a workout! Saturday, we were so thankful for sunshine and the opportunity to spend some time outdoors.

This morning, I want to invite you into the living room for a spring tour. So grab a cup of coffee or tea, and come on in for a look around.

For the coffee table vignette, I assembled some blue and white pieces, my favorite rabbit, and an arrangement of realistic faux hydrangeas. For now, faux flowers are all that you will find around my home.

On the mantel, I placed my Staffordshire rabbits among my Flow Blue pieces.

I took these pictures on Saturday, and it was so glorious to see the rays of sunshine gleaming through the room.

You may have noticed this new table in the room. Back in January, I was visiting a local consignment shop, and spotted this beauty across the room.  It just had to come home with me. I love tables with inlay and pretty details.

Valentine weekend, Mr. Bleu surprised me with a trip to Dallas. We had such a wonderful time! One of the places I visited while I was there was Inessa Stewart’s beautiful store. This antique French copper jardiniere came home with me.

I found this sweet oiled bronze rabbit at an antique shop last summer.  Doing a little research, I think it is German. From what I have read, rabbits like this one were placed out for the Easter Bunny, and he would leave candy in the baskets. I was told that it is difficult to find these rabbits with the baskets still intact.

My sweet friends,  I pray that you stay safe and healthy. Thank you so much for your visits and kind comments. I will be back later this week to share my spring front porch with you.  Take care, and may your day be filled with blessings.

So many pretty pieces and it was fun reading about the bunny you found. It’s fun finding pieces and being able to find the history.

Absolutely love the table you found when away too, sure is a beauty.

I’ll be thinking of your kids during this time. These are the things people don’t realize can be a problem and why it’s necessary to stay home and wash your hands. I would never want to make someone I’ll.

Shannon, I love your gorgeous table find and all your pretty spring decor pieces! One thing I noticed awhile back is how the central portion of your home is laid out–I love that it’s different from the typical parlor/office to one side and dining room to the other. I would love to see a floor plan of your home as I am looking for a more unique lay-out for our retirement home. Glad the kids are having fun with no school days. We, too, are keeping safe as my husband and I have compromised immune systems. Luckily, Michael is able to work from home at the moment. Hugs!

  12. These photos with a bigger perspective are so nice..I enjoy seeing how the spaces all flow together. You have done an excellent job of creating your french ambiance. I love when someone follows their design heart. My favorite is the bunny tray, and also the german bunny. I also collect rabbits. Glad to hear your family is healthy, and in spite of everything, it is nice for family time to go on.
