Autumn Living Room Tour

Good morning and happy Monday, dear friends! This morning I want to invite you in for some spiced cider, a little conversation,  and a look around my living room dressed for autumn. Around here, there is quite a chill in the air. The temperature is expected to continue to drop as the day goes by with the low reaching 17 degrees. Please come in out of that dreadful cold!

This year, my fall decor is very simple with just little touches added here and there to lend a nod to the season at hand.

On the coffee table is a tray with an autumn floral bouquet, Luminara flameless candle, and a sparkle pumpkin with fall berries scattered about.

A new chair resides in my living room. It belonged to my grandmother. It’s a little worn, in need of recovering, and I’m trying to decide on a fabric. I wish I could find this same print, because I love the way it looks in the room with my other furniture. I was blessed to be able to have some of of my grandmother’s belongings. When I look at them, it makes me smile and think of her impeccable taste. She definitely influenced my mother and I with her decorating style. In the coming weeks, I will be sharing some of the rooms I have been working on…an upstairs great room and my master bedroom. Many of her pretty things can be found gracing these rooms.

The mantel is modestly dressed in a garland of fall pip berries. Lanterns with flameless candles sit on the hearth to offer a little touch of warmth.

Sweet friends, I am so happy that you stopped by for a visit. The month of November is flying by, and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. Next week, I will joining a group of my blogging friends to bring you our Thanksgiving tables. For now, I hope your day is filled with joy and peace. Take care!!!

  1. Shannon your living room is stunning. And, your grandmother’s chair is a lovely and perfect addition. I agree about the fabric it is currently wearing and fabric can be a difficult hunt. Your room is so welcoming and warm, one would never know it is cold outside.
Happy week to you, sweet friend. Stay warm, we are to have snow tonight.

I am so glad you have your sweet grandmother’s chair. It doesn’t show wear in the picture. I would leave you until you find the perfect fabric. The older I get things like that are endearing.
